Stella’s Fund is a benevolent fund created to offer financial assistance to primary custodial parents during the legal proceedings of divorce, child support, and child custody agreements. Those different processes can take years, and if the non-custodial parent does not choose to financially support their children, in most states there is little legal ramification to do so until the proceedings are finalized. Even then, it is challenging to seek financial support or reimbursement from the non-custodial parent. Stella’s Fund is inspired by my sister Stella and her experiences of being a single. My hope is that together we can support families and create enough inspiration and awareness around this issue that legal policy follows suit.
